TORRECHIARA AND PROSCIUTTO HAM BIKE RIDE
Meet the guide in Parma (8.30 am or 3.00 pm) and start the bike ride. Today you’ll enjoy a full immersion of the Parma Products. The first stop will be a traditional Parmigiano Reggiano factory to see all production chain, the different rooms, and the huge storage with inside 9.000 wheels!!! There is also a tasting of 3 different Parmigiano Reggiano aging
The ride will proceed with the visit of the most beautiful castles in Italy, Castle of Torrechiara. The castle was built between 1448 – 1460 by Pier Maria Rossi, Count of San Secondo di Parma, in honour to his lover, Bianca Pellegrini.
The hills offer charming landscapes among the plain, the valley and the wondrous Castle of Torrechiara, with its slopes and vineyards.
Another “must” is a Prosciutto di Parma factory where we will taste this amazing ham and discover the origin and the production methods.Lunch in the “tasting room”
