MEDIEVAL CASTLE AND LUXURY WINERY
Discover the Mussomeli Castle and enjoy a breathtaking view of the coastline.
The castle stands in a strategic position overlooking the whole valley as it is on top of a high limestone.The castle was built on 3 levels: the chapel (with the precious alabaster depicting the Madonna della Catena 1516), the aristocratic apartments and an underground. with large halls, dungeons and torture cells.
The tour will last about 1h 30 min then you’ll be transferred to Tasca D’Almerita. Tasca d’Almerita has 5 estates with different soils and climates. The Estate has almost 600 hectares, 12 types of different soils but all the wines come from a single vineyard or from more than one vineyard, always within the same estate.The estate produces also Extra Virgin Oil olive. The tour will last about 2 hours and you’ll taste 3 different types of wines followed by lunch with typical and seasonal products.
