This facility was intended to house the offices (“uffizi” in sixteenth-century Florentine language) of the magistrates of the city. Today the Uffizi Gallery is one of the top destinations for travelers all over the world and it’s especially famous for its incredible collection of Renaissance paintings. You can choose either to spend 3hrs inside the Uffizi Gallery or combine it with a nice stroll in Piazza della Signoria Square.

Notes : To avoid long lines at peak times, booking tickets ahead of time is really the best way to go and spend more time within the museum rather than outside in line. The law dictates that given the number of entrances/exits at the Uffizi Museum doesn’t have a cloakroom, therefore entrance is not allowed to visitors with large bags, backpack, helmets, etc. Due to security reasons the access is subject to control by metal detectors.
