FONTEVERDE

Location: San Casciano dei Bagni

Fonteverde is a palace born from a Renaissance-era portico, right on a mineral spring.  The portico, commissioned by Grand Duke Ferdinando I de’ Medici, lies in the heart of the Val d’Orcia, amid rolling hills, cypress woods and small churches. The spectacular panoramic pools as well as the ones used for treatments and relaxation are filled with the natural heat of the thermal springs.

Room Guests and Suites:

Fonteverde’s rooms have been totally renovated, enhancing their charm and elegance while maintaining the refined Renaissance taste. Today they descrive in every detail Tuscan art, the nature of the park its history.

Rooms are divided into: Classic Rooms, Superior Rooms, Superior Valley View, Superior Valley View Balcony, Deluxe Valley View and Deluxe Valley View Balcony.

The Valley View Junior Suite and the Valley View Terrace Junior Suites (35m2) are large rooms, with a cosy sitting area. The floor is in warm oak wood, the bathroom with shower or bathtub is finished with exquisite travertine marble. A number of the moulded headboards are characterised by a black band, taking inspiration from the lines of the Tuscan palaces and the two-tone bands that can be seen on the façades of the churches of Florence and Siena. The central frame above the headboard in some suites includes a precious wallpaper with floral patterns and hunting scenes that combine with the splendid view of the Val d’Orcia hills and Mount Amiata. In the Valley View Terrace Junior Suites, the terrace enhances the light and creates continuity with the countryside, with its panoramic view of the Val d’Orcia and Mount Amiata.

The One bedroom Suites (42m2) are all different in shape and layout: in some of the rooms, the headboard of the bed is combined with a precious wallpaper embellished with floral patterns and hunting scenes, while in others it draws inspiration from the tradition of Tuscan leather artistry.
