FAST TRACK DUOMO, SFORZA CASTLE AND LA SCALA

The tour starts from the Archaeological Area underneath the Cathedral to discover the Baptistery of St. John and the Church of Santa Tecla. You will see a magnificent example of octagonal early Christian Baptistery and learn about the life in Milan during the Roman Age. Just a few steps above you will reach the inside of the Cathedral. With its 3400 statues, 55 stained glass windows, beautiful altars and paintings, the Duomo is the most important example of Gothic style in Northern Italy. The elevator takes you up to the roof, where you will see spires and sculptures from a close-up. Climb the 50 steps to reach highest Terraces and walk near the main spire, which hosts the golden statue of the Virgin.

You will proceed with the Opera House of Milan (Teatro alla Scala). La Scala opened its doors 1778 for performances by some of the world’s finest opera singers. Visitor from around the world have enjoyed its many fine production.

Visit also the Medieval Sforza Castle, buit by Francesco Sforza, the Duke of Milan. Admire also Michelangelo’s unfinished “Pietà Rondanini” and frescoes by Leonardo Da Vinci and Bramante.
