Day 1: WELCOME TO AMALFI COAST
Private transfer from Naples airport to Amalfi coast. Dinner on your own and overnight in 5* in Praiano, Positano or Amalfi.
Day 2 AMALFI COAST DRIVE TOUR WITH LUNCH IN WINERY
Private drive tour through the Amalfi coast. You will be able to admire the beauty of these ancient and small towns, once an important Maritime Republic. You’ll be able to visit ones o the most beautiful little towns of Amalfi coast: Amalfi – the main town with its spectacular Duomo and Piazza del Duomo square; Ravello – with its Villa Rufolo where you can have an amazing view over the coast; Positano – considered one of the most picturesque towns in Amalfi with its beautiful colored houses that lie the mountainside. The tour will take you for a visit to the establishment/cellar dug in the rock with English guiding. A walk of the closest vineyard, weather permitting and a look at some photos of the vineyards with English guiding. Tasting of wines by means of lunching at a restaurant, located 50 mt from the establishment, where you can taste, together with wines, the typical local dishes. Overnight in 5*L hotel in Praiano, Positano or Amalfi.
Day 3 LEMON GROVE VISIT WITH LIMONCELLO AND GELATO TASTING
Meet the driver at the hotel and transfer to Sorrento. Find out everything about Sorrento lemons, a special kind with unique flavor, which is used for the preparation of “Limoncello” liquor. Learn about the history and see the demonstration of the production techniques that are followed in preparing the liqueur. While you are seated inside the production workshop, you will be served four different kinds of liqueurs to taste. Following the tasting of the liqueurs, you will have a chance to taste “babà al limoncello” – biscuits soaked in limoncello; one of homemade marmalade fruit jams; and finally, lemon gelato that is made from lemons grown in lemon grove. Following the tastings, you can stroll the lemon groves, or weather permitting, you can visit independently “the Arguminato” – a separate lemon grove about a 5-minute walk from the factory. You will have also some time at disposal for visit Sorrento and to have lunch in a typical restaurant. The guide will be thrilled to suggest you the best restaurants of the area. The old town of Sorrento is a wonderful place to get lost in its narrow streets and alleyways. You’ll admire the historical buildings including the Basilica of Sant’Antonio, the complex of San Francesco, Piazza Tasso square etc. Overnight in 5*L hotel in Praiano, Positano or Amalfi.
Day 4 WINE TASTING AND LUNCH ON THE VESUVIUS SLOPES
Meet the driver in hotel and transfer to Mt. Vesuvius where you’ll have a wonderful guided tour of a typical winery. You will taste the flavour of the Campania Ars Vinearia then you’ll have a beautiful Mediterranean lunch as you sip an excellent Falanghina wine, Lacryma Christi, Aglianico and many other wines. Menu: Aperitif: homemade bread, cherries tomatoes from Vesuvio and our extra-virgin oil. Starter: selection of local cold cuts and cheese, olives and season vegetables. First dish: Pasta di Gragnano allo “Scarpariello”(pasta with tomatoes, basil, cheese). Second dish: eggplant parmigiana, monk cheese, season vegetable, home-made jam. Homemade dessert. Overnight in 5*L hotel in Praiano, Positano or Amalfi.
Day 5 AMALFI BOAT TRIP WITH DROP OFF IN CAPRI
10.00 AM meet the captain in Amalfi coast area. Sailing along the Amalfi coast you will touch the most beautiful places and corners of it: Maiori, Amalfi, Ravello, Atrani ecc. After Amalfi, ancient Maritime Republic of Amalfi, you’ll sail along the coast and you’ll admire the Sophia Loren’s Villa, Conca dei Marini, the Fiord of Furore and Emerald Grotto. During this amazing experience you will have the chance to have lunch in one of the water-front restaurants that your captain will suggest. Along the day you’ll have a few stops for an unforgettable swim in the crystal-clear waters along the Amalfi coast. At about 5.00 PM drop off in Capri. Check in at 5*L hotel in Capri.
Day 6 DAY AT LEISURE IN CAPRI
Day at leisure to explore Capri by your own. Overnight at 5*L hotel in Capri.
Day 7 EXECUTIVE TRANSFER FROM CAPRI TO NALPES / NAPLES TO APULIA WITH STOP IN MATERA
Executive transfer from Capri to Naples pier (car, boat, car). You’ll enjoy a door-to-door private car service to your hotel in Apulia. You will stop in Matera where you’ll spend about 3 hours. Matera is one of the most unique and spectacular places in the world and became UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993.
Explore this complex and beautiful network of caves, churches carved entirely out of the rock and narrow streets on foot. During the walking tour your professional guide will show you the Sasso Caveoso area, the most fascinating part of our old town, named “Sassi”. In this area it’s possible to see how houses rise from the rock. Matera has been used as location for many films such us: No time to die, Wonder Woman, Quantum of Solace, The Passion of Christ etc.You’ll have time at disposal to have lunch in one of the restaurants situated in the caves (lunch not included in the price). Your guide will bring you back to your car and then you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Apulia. Overnight at 5*L hotel in Fasano.
Day 8 OIL OLIVE, WINE AND ALBEROBELLO
Today you’ll discover two of the most important products of this area: oil olive and wine. The first stop will be a typical Frantoio (oil olive mill) where you’ll understand better the production of this amazing oil. After the Frantoio visit, our sommelier will show you how to taste and how to choose a good olive oil. Visit the area surrounding the farm to discover the centuries-old olive trees. This activity will last about 1h 30 min /2 hours and you’ll have also lunch in the Masseria.
The second stop will be a nearby winery. You’ll visit the cellars and weather permitting, the vineyards and you’ll taste 3 different wines and typical local products (taralli, mozzarella, olives, Martina Franca capocollo). This private Alberobello tour gives you the opportunity to discover the history of Alberobello and its trulli, one of the Unesco World Heritage sites in Italy. You will experience Apulian traditions of the past and how people used to live inside trulli. Overnight at 5*L hotel in Fasano.
Day 9 DISCOVERING THE COAST AND THE SEA CAVES OF POLIGNANO A MARE
Polignano is called “Pearl of the Adriatic” for the 23 kilometers of coastline characterized by a crystalline sea and by the succession of caves dug by the action of the sea. The erosive actions of water, wind and the karst phenomenon have created a charming landscape. The best way to enjoy this show is from the sea perspective: with this boat tour in Polignano a Mare, you will admire the play of colour and light of these unique caves and have the chance to swim in the crystal waters of the coast. The tour will last about 7 hours and you’ll be able also to swim (weather permitting). Overnight at 5*L hotel in Fasano.
Day 10 OTRANTO AND GALLIPOLI HIGHLIGHTS
See the main sights of the fortress city of Gallipoli on the tip of the Salentina Peninsula, and discover one of the most important locations in Apulia. Stroll from Via Antonietta De Pace to the cathedral dedicated to St. Agatha, who was martyred in the Sicilian city of Catania, but whose relics are housed in Gallipoli. Peek inside to see ornate decorations of marble, wood, and paintings. Continue along winding streets, admiring typical houses, before you reach the coast, where numerous 13-17th-century churches can be found, including the Church of Santa Maria della Purità, Church of St. Francis of Assisi, and Church of San Domenico al Rosario. You will leave Gallipoli and you’ll be transferred to Otranto. Choose either to have lunch in Otranto or in Gallipoli. You’ll begin the visit of one of the most beautiful cities in Italy, overlooking the sea. Otranto is located at the easternmost point of the heel of Italy, which is why it has always been considered the gateway to Italy for the populations of the east. It is certainly one of the most important centers from the historical and cultural point of view of Salento, thanks to the presence of ancient churches and palaces, of the Aragonese castle built at the end of the fifteenth century, of the towers and walls that protected the city.
