BORGO EGNAZIA

Location: Savelletri di Fasano

Borgo Egnazia is like a breathing tale of Puglia, spoken by the ancient culture of the land and by the sheer beauty of its nonpareil architecture. Far from a resort, it embodies a brand new concept of hospitality based on local, authentic experiences.

Guest Rooms and Suites

Borgo Egnazia was built entirely of rough limestone and local stones cut by the skilled hands of stone masters. Artist and designer Pino Brescia was inspired by the simplicity of Puglia’s ancient farmhouses and rural villages. It is a contemporary interpretation of Apulian architecture, providing three kinds of accommodation, different in scope and size, but all conceived as an harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, modernity and authenticity, grandeur and simplicity.

Restaurants and Bars

Due Camini – An evocative and refined gourmet restaurant, made precious by limestone, wood and candle light swashes, it offers a true auteur cuisine, complex yet authentic and simple. Here Apulian traditions are revamped by our executive chef Domingo Schingaro through a culinary touch, using carefully selected ingredients and skillful creative cooking methods.

La Frasca – A genuine Apulian “trattoria” in the heart of the Borgo, between clean white halls and the tools and objects from our rural heritage. Guests can discover the deep rural roots of Apulian typical cuisine through a menu celebrating the many treasures of our local tradition.

Mia Cucina – An “open kitchen” where old and forgotten recipes can be enjoyed just like in a local home and where our beloved “massaia” Mimina shares the ancient secrets of Apulian cuisine. At the lovely “A Pizzerì” outdoor area you can also taste some excellent pizza, made with the best ingredients and three different dough varieties.

Cala Masciola – A seafront culinary corner, located at our private beach Cala Masciola. A blend between a restaurant and a fish shop, it serves light salads, pasta dishes and most of all extremely fresh seafood. Guests can pick up fish from the market stall and have it weighed and cooked at their wish or enjoy it according to the Apulian tradition of “crudo” (raw).

Il Cortile – A pleasant open-air space focusing on “live” cooking and fresh local raw materials. Here, a number of food stations allow guests to follow and learn the making of their preferred dish, be it a first course, a meat or fish recipe or a freshly composed salad.

Da Frisella – A magic and otherworldly place for our younger guests, where every detail and piece of furniture, from chairs to tables or the buffet, is sized to children, who will enjoy great moments of joyful playing and natural and simple dishes that change every day.

Bar del Portico – A perfect lounge adorned with glass jars filled with dried pulses and cinnamon sticks, offering cocktails, such as the home special Ramato, apéritifs, a refined selection of wines and light snacks.
